Abstracts
A comprehensive introduction to visualization and virtual reality, within the context of developing an interactive distributed information system. The author shows what is required for building an intuitive and dynamic multi-user environment and draws on real-world problems. Topics covered include: information visualization; information retrieval; hypermedia; human-computer interaction; cognitive science; and virtual reality. It also covers VRML (Virtual Reality Modelling Language).
