CyberCode is a 2D bar code developed by Sony. Among the 16,777,216 theoretical CyberCodes (24 bits), CyberCode software effectively uses 1,048,576 possible CyberCodes to register software. The remaining codes will be used in future developments for other services. CyberCodes act as indexes and allow you to bring up the corresponding information on your computer.

CyberCodes store 24 bits of data. In addition to the ID, the 3-D position of the tagged objects is determined. Proposed
applications for CyberCodes comprise augmented reality systems, various direct manipulation techniques involving physical objects, and indoor guidance systems.
