Untersuchung zum Tablet-PC-Einsatz als Hellraumprojektor-Ersatz mit der Möglichkeit zur Aufnahme der Vorlesung in Mechatronic-Vorlesungen an der Stanford University.

This paper reports on the experiences and student survey results from two years of teaching using a Tablet PC and computer projection. The courses taught represent both undergraduate and graduate level Mechatronics classes in which the Tablet PC + projector was used as an alternative to transparencies and an overhead projector. In addition, the lectures were recorded using screen capture software and made available to the students through a variety of distribution methods. Surveys in four graduate classes asked the students to compare the lectures presented and captured in this way with their experiences with conventional transparency + overhead projector and video-taped lectures. The results of those surveys indicate a marked preference for the new lecture presentation technique and that a substantial fraction of the students make use of and find the lecture recordings to be a valuable addition.
