Projects and Empirical Studies toward Reflective Crossactionspaces
Zusammenfassungen
Instead of making comparative studies, the Digital Didactical Design needs to be at the center of research. Then, the aim of a research project is to study and evaluate to what extent the Digital Didactical Design really meets the new designed teaching and learning goals. Such a study focuses on the benefits, challenges and problems that emerge with new designs and are viewed by different stakeholders such as teachers and students. An alternative option is the design-based research approach (DBR) that supports the development of new didactical designs and studies them using existing research methods (e.g., read PeTEX section below). DBR attracts many researchers with arguments that learning sciences could benefit from viewing it as a design science (e.g., Mor & Winters, 2011, Wang & Hannafin, 2005; Reeves, Herrington & Oliver, 2005; Sandoval & Bell, 2004).
In this chapter, I illustrate some of my latest empirical research projects. This will be an overview of the most important issues with regard to CrossAction-Spaces, Digital Didactical Designs and learning expeditions.
